Sirius Collective

Sirius Collective is a group of artists, dancers, performers and creators who strive for creating, experimenting and exploring together. Our aim is to go beyond what one individual can manifest by working together openly and respectfully.

Sirius Collective is an emerging performing arts collective established in 2019 and based in Malta. It is composed in its core of three members: Maria Concetta Cariello, Laura Kuukkanen, Aline Zora. The collective has close collaboration with other Dance and Theatre practitioners, as well as musicians and visual artists.

The name of the collective comes from Sirius, 'the star of the Maltese Temples' as stated in the book by L. Reedijk. It is the brightest star in the sky, and it is a binary star formed by two stars very close to each other. This is a methaphor of our close connection to each other and our belief of how working together openly and respectfully can enrich our individuality, without losing our liveliness.

Our vision points towards a broad horizon of Human connections through a playful and spontaneous approach to Arts. Art can be human.
